1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using csvclean ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

csvclean is a web-based tool that helps users clean, format, and process CSV (Comma-Separated Values) files. The Service operates entirely in the user's web browser, processing files locally without uploading data to our servers.

2.1 Free Plan

• Process CSV files up to 10,000 rows
• Basic cleaning features
• No account required for basic use

2.2 Pro Plan

• Process CSV files up to 100,000 rows
• Advanced features: duplicate removal, date normalization, number formatting
• Priority support
• Monthly subscription at $10/month

3. Account Registration

To access Pro features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Be responsible for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

4. Payment and Subscription

4.1 Subscription Fees

Pro plan subscriptions are billed monthly at $10/month. Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be grandfathered at their current rate for the duration of their continuous subscription.

4.2 Payment Processing

Payments are processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. We do not store your full payment information.

4.3 Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew each month unless canceled. You will be charged on the same day each month until you cancel.

4.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused time within a billing period, except as outlined in our Refund Policy.

5. Data and Privacy

5.1 Client-Side Processing

All CSV file processing occurs in your browser. We do not upload, store, or have access to your CSV files or their contents. Your data never leaves your device during processing.

5.2 Account Data

We store your account information (email, subscription status) on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your personal information.

5.3 Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

• The legality, reliability, and appropriateness of your data
• Ensuring you have rights to process the data you upload
• Backing up your original files before processing
• Verifying the accuracy of cleaned output

6. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the Service
• Use automated tools to access the Service excessively
• Share your Pro account credentials with others
• Resell or commercialize the Service without permission
• Upload malicious code or attempt to compromise security
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Rights

The Service, including its code, design, logos, and content, is owned by csvclean and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property.

7.2 Your Data

You retain all rights to your CSV files and data. We claim no ownership over your data. Since we never receive your data, we have no license to it.

8. Disclaimers and Limitations

8.1 "As Is" Service

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

8.2 No Guarantee of Accuracy

While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that the Service will produce error-free results. You are responsible for verifying the output of any data processing.

8.3 Service Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to factors beyond our control.

8.4 Data Loss

We are not responsible for any data loss. Always maintain backups of your original files.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, csvclean and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless csvclean from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Your data or content

11. Termination

11.1 By You

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

11.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our discretion. We will provide notice when reasonably possible.

11.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You remain liable for any fees incurred before termination.
